C. S. Services are based in Denia, on the Costa Blanca, Spain and their Directors are Steven Ball and his partner, Christine.
Steve is a Surveyor and Specialist Buildings Engineer and Chris deals with the administration of the company. They also undertake Project and Construction Supervision, which is an invaluable service for people who are unable to supervise building works themselves.
There are very few surveyors on the Costa Blanca and during the years that C. S. Services Denia have been here they have come across many people who didn’t realise how things work in Spain. Their staff are very well versed in the pitfalls of purchasing property and are always willing to point clients in the right direction should a problem occur. This is all in a days work for the team at C. S. Services Denia and they believe they provide a top quality service at a reasonable price.
They operate from Murcia to Valencia and are able to tell you the condition and the value of the property you have selected to buy, within 72 hours. This applies to all properties; apartments, villas, bungalows, chalets, etc., whether they are new build or resales. They provide a full report together with photographs, if necessary.
Surveys are carried out just as they are in the UK. Checks are carried out for damp, electrical wiring, plumbing, roofing etc. However, if the property is fairly old, e.g. a finca/farmhouse, then it is possible that more involved, diagnostic checks are required. This is where Steve’s expertise as a Specialist Buildings Engineer comes in. For example, he looks for any large cracks and apparent faults within the structure, where they come from and where they are going, investigates them further and then they produce a report complete with recommendations for any corrective work, along with any necessary photographs.
So far as the Project and Construction Supervision is concerned, if you are buying a plot of land and decide to have your new house, villa or finca built there but are not going to be around to make sure that everything is done to your specification, they can take that potential headache away from you. They will discuss your requirements with you and visit the site regularly to ensure that the work is being carried out exactly as you have requested and follow this up with regular written reports, and if necessary, photographs. This service is also available if you buy older property, which is purchased for reform, renovation/modernisation.
